Chickens are the hive beetle control here and wax moths too (although the bats do that at night) and thats ALL the pest control we have here! I love them too and do eat the eggs.  The hens often brood the eggs and hatch some chicks. Hers bessie the goose- soon to have a new home with a big lake. She and her 2 duck buddies will love it.  I relocated bees for the landowner and they are lucky to go live there! A big lake to swim in!
