The end of the aggressive queen
Here is the dead queen of the aggressive colony at Nawara Farm. I do this and leave her for the bees to grieve over as I remove all of their egg filled frames. I only return sealed brood, pollen and honey. I insert two frames with freshly laid eggs from a nice Russian colony to the center of this colony and let them go on, and they raise up a new nice queen from those Russian eggs.To find the queen in the photo, look to the bottom right hand side of the wooden hive top. She is the fourth bee over towards the left, facing towards the camera. She is surrounded by 5-6 workers. Her thorax and abdomen are visible but her head is blocked from view by a worker, a frame of honey from the hive is at the top of the photo.
