Killer Bees?

The bees at Gus Nawara's farm got mean after several years in  this hive and I re-queened   them. Just the other day the big network 6 p.m. news here in Houston ran another in their history of bad stories about bees. The words killer bees were used by the uninformed person who was being the hero and killing them.  When you hire a real beekeeper to relocate your bees they ALWAYS get a chance at a new life on a farm, and only if they prove themselves too mean to be worked at harvest time, they are re-queened with the provision of eggs to them by me. A neighboring Russian colony was used for the egg supply this time. These AHB ( Africanized Hybrid  Bees) will be EHB (European Hybrid bees) in two months. This was done in October. I have only had to do this to two colonies out of all of the bees I have, I made myself a little note on the front of the hive at harvest time so I knew who needed work.. And yes it says killer bees, you would say that too after they chased you all around the farm as they did to me, Kelly and Arnold on harvest day.  .
